Christine Lavin, the multi-talented folk singer, shared the stage with six "on the verge" musicians in a recent competition at Shea Auditorium.

Three of the musicians were handpicked by a panel of judges along with Lavin for the William Paterson University "On the Verge" competition.

Records from the past three semesters show numerous reports of graffiti, garbage bags in hallways, beer cans in elevators and broken lights and exit signs in several hallways. Residents who value cleanliness say that they're angry to have to live in these filthy conditions.

Past Graduates Will Finally Participate in Commencement

The 2008 spring commencement ceremony on May 20 will be a long-awaited celebration for those students who are graduating after years of hard work, but for many graduates the wait to walk has been much longer than expected.

In 2006, the winter commencement ceremony, which was available to December graduates, was canceled due to budget cuts.

After a milestone gift of $500,000 from the Bolger Foundation of Ridgewood, David F. Bolger helped finance the creation and opening of the high-tech patient simulation laboratory.

Bolger had the facility named after his late aunt, Nel Bolger a Dutch nurse and graduate of Johns Hopkins Nursing School who was a leader in the underground movement in Holland during the Nazi occupation.

On April 22 at 4:54 p.m., University Police responded to High Mountain East on fire alarm activation. As a result one student was arrested for narcotic violations and one student received an internal referral for alcohol violations. Reports were filed and this case is cleared.
