Looking for a tasty, yet affordable place to eat off campus? The Metro View Grille is the place to go.
Located at 472 Haledon Ave. in Haledon, Metro View Grille offers a wide variety of food. It is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. and makes free deliveries to the William Paterson University campus. The restaurant accepts Pioneer Express dollars, another perk for WPU students.
"I would definitely have to say that Metro is inexpensive because I have enough money to buy it every Sunday night," said Casey Reznik, a WPU student who is a loyal customer.
The Metro View Grille offers an extensive breakfast menu, which consists of eggs, pancakes, breakfast sandwiches and omelets. There are more lunch and dinner choices, such as burgers and hotdogs. The prices of hamburgers start as little as $2.05. The menu also consists of specialty sandwiches, club sandwiches and grilled favorites, such as gyros and grilled cheese. Metro View Grille has a variety of salads, panini sandwiches and wraps as well.
"The most popular items would be the hot dogs, wraps and paninis," said George Vlahos, manager of Metro View Grille.
The menu includes: "World's Greatest Hot Texas Weiner;" the new Honey Chicken Dijon Panini, which consists of grilled chicken, bacon, swiss cheese and honey mustard; and the Metro Wrap, which contains grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, feta cheese and olives. The restaurant also has various appetizers; an order of french fries costs only $1.80, and a four-piece order of chicken fingers is only $4.05. Beverages, milk shakes, desserts and ice cream are available as well.
Metro View Grille offers many types of food, so there is something for everyone. It is close to the WPU campus, and free deliveries make it convenient for those who live on campus. The food is inexpensive and good, and the service is reliable.
