The latest venture in American politics: political satire's poster boy, TV personality and comedian, Stephen Colbert, mocks everything from hygiene to faith and the family in his new book “I Am America (And So Can You!)” Side note: He also wants to be the next president of the United States!—just kidding.

Move over Clinton and Obama, Colbert is willing to give you a run for your money, one funny joke at a time.
Unlike many political correspondents, Colbert has managed to transform the world of television with poignant humor and clever enthusiasm from the small screen (The Daily Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Strangers With Candy) to the big screen (Bewitched).

“I Am America (And So Can You!)” tackles the important issues in today’s world, while showcasing some of American’s worst habits.

In Colbert’s own words, "This book will have the same noble goal as my television show: to change the world, one factual error at a time."

With chart, graphs, memos and keen insight, Colbert has done what he himself says Americans need to do in order to make some changes: talk, express themselves and be different.

Highlighting the most controversial issues in sports, sex and dating, homosexuals, higher education, race, media and science, Colbert gives us a hysterical, right-winged opinion on all things America. "See, at one time, America was pure. Men were men, women were women, and gays were confirmed bachelors."

In addition to his creative genius, Colbert provides other types of entertainment for those of us whose attention span is on the decline. There are two sets of stickers, games, interviews and the first edition even has a red ribbon bookmark.

For those that have no political preference and could care less what Colbert’s stance is on the world, do not be fooled—this book will have even those who do not believe laughing out loud: “Imagine going through life completely duped into thinking that there's no invisible, omniscient higher power guiding every action on Earth. It's just so arbitrary!”

“I Am America (And So Can You!)” already hit No.1 on the New York Times’ Hardcover Non Fiction List on Nov. 4. If you like The Colbert Report on Comedy Central, you'll love this book, which is now at a bookstore near you!
