There is not a better way to take pride in the Italian culture than to be a part of the Italian club. The best part is that you don't even have to be Italian!

The Italian club is a fairly recent re-established club that is 65 members strong and looking for more. Recently, the club held a bake sale to raise money to add to their account. They raked in about $150, donations included. Eighty percent of the baked goods were sold within the first 30 minutes of common hour! The desserts included homemade cannoli and cupcakes in the pattern of the Italian flag. With the money collected, they hope to plan bigger events such as galas and dinners for the school, collaborate with other clubs, and most importantly, donate to various charities.

The Italian club's main goals are to support, teach, and preserve the Italian culture. For the past two years, they have sent their executive board representatives to the National Italian American Foundation conference in Washington, D.C. for an entire weekend. NIAF is a non-profit organization that provides educational and scholarship opportunities, as well as programs and activities, to help many young people.

For anyone interested or for more information, meetings are on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month in Raubinger Hall.
