With three games left in the regular season, the Pioneers 13th ranked men’s basketball team, according to d3hoops.com, remains focused on their main goal, winning a championship. With a record of 21-1, the Pioneers have clinched the New Jersey Athletic Conference’s top seed, along with a first-round bye for the Feb. 20 games. The Pioneers, 10-0 in the NJAC, are the only undefeated team in conference play. However with all these accomplishments, including a 19 game win streak, the team isn’t satisfied just yet.
This month, 216 Americans, 123 men and 93 women, will take the ultimate sporting stage at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. Starting Feb. 12, 97 nations will seek gold in any of the 15 perspective sports. The USA is looking for its veterans and young new faces to step up to bank on beating the odds.
The Lady Pioneers continued their dominance with key victories over conference rivals during the past two weeks. Their most recent victory, a 67-50 beat down over Ramapo on Feb. 3, improved the team’s overall record to 21-1 and 9-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
