Merry Christmas, NBA Fans

     The NBA is giving its fans the best possible gift for the holidays: a season. After 149 days of grueling negotiations, a tentative agreement has been reached the will see the NBA open its season on Christmas Day, with training camps and free agency beginning Dec. 9.

Men's Swim & Dive Defeat Lehman

     The William Paterson Men's swimming team (5-2) defeated Lehman (1-1) on Parents Appreciation Day on Saturday, Nov. 12, by a score of 137-103.

     The aggressive start to the semi-final round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Men's Soccer Tournament left WPU and Montclair State University scoreless at the end of the first half.

     On a day when William Paterson University honored nine seniors, the 3-6 Pioneers took one on the chin from the visiting No.17 Kean Cougars (8-1) at Wightman Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 5.

Pioneers Improve to 10-1-1 on the Season

     After losing to Montclair for the first time in 15 years on Oct. 28, the Pioneers took to the ice on Friday night to play host to 4-3 Marist College.

Meet Pioneers’ Ice Hockey Club Player: Chris Wynne

     At the age of 7 years old, he was awarded the position of goalie for his Sportorama House League team, the Gorillas, until he gave up a goal. After the puck reached the back of the net, he began skating after the goal-scorer in frustration, forcing coaches and referees to corral him. His aggressive attitude ultimately forced his coaches to move him to defense, where he's been playing ever since.
